Making Changes for your health

My Mission

I have made it a mission not only to improve my own health, but also to help others improve theirs.

I’ve realized something important. Even when I try to eat well, I don’t always eat the way my body truly needs. I watch sugar, gluten, and other triggers. I’ll be honest, I don’t eat plates full of fruits and vegetables every day.

That realization led me to something incredibly important: magnesium.

Why Magnesium Matters

Magnesium plays a huge role in how my body functions. Our bodies don’t produce magnesium on their own, which means we must get it from food or supplementation. Most magnesium is found in green vegetables—which explains a lot, considering I’m not eating salad all day, every day.

Once I understood how depleted I was, I started supplementing magnesium. I’ve underlined the specific one I use because it works for me—and the difference has been noticeable.

Everyone’s body is different, but for me, magnesium has been a key piece of my healing puzzle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are common signs of low magnesium?

Some symptoms associated with magnesium deficiency may include:

  • Stress or anxiety
  • Irregular heartbeat or palpitations
  • Muscle cramping or twitching
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Fatigue
  • Low mood or depression

(These were many of the symptoms I personally experienced.)

What foods contain magnesium?

Magnesium can be found in a variety of foods, including:

  • Nuts and seeds
  • Whole grains (such as wheat bread)
  • Peanut butter
  • Popcorn
  • Cheese
  • White fish
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Leafy green vegetables (the highest natural source)

Why supplement if food contains magnesium?

In a perfect world, we’d get everything from food alone. But stress, poor absorption, depleted soil, digestive issues, and modern diets can make that difficult. Supplementation helped fill the gap for me when diet alone wasn’t enough.

A Gentle Reminder

I’m not here to tell anyone what they should do. I’m sharing what has helped me. I hope it may help someone else ask the right questions. They can listen to their body and feel less alone on their journey.

If you have questions or want to learn more about what I’ve tried, I’m always happy to share.
